To use AA XI with OFFICE 2013, you have to do the updates. OFFICE 2013 was released after AA XI and the updates are required for compatibility.
Thank you very much! The problem is solved now.
I updated one day before, but the 11.0.05 fixing the problem with Office was not shown by then.
Thank you again and regards

Re: Problems with Acrobat Pro XI and MS Office 2013
These are not OFFICE updates, but general updates to Acrobat. They are at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows. For XI, you should only need the latest update. (Answers are not sent to e-mail addresses unless you add e-mail notifications.)
I have the most current release of Adobe Acrobat XI (just confirmed 11.0.10) and the most current release of Office 2013. I am unable to produce a PDF from MS Word no matter what I try. I event went through the process of repairing the Acrobat install, rebooted as required, and still cannot create a PDF. This at one-time was a flawless process allowing me to continually update PDFs weekly. I am now stuck and looking for an alternative product.
If anyone knows of a "trick" to get a PDF created from a Word 2013 doc please send it my way!
I am having the exact same problem. Versions of 2013 and XI Pro are up to date, I tried registry and cmd solutions I found online, I repaired both programs, acrobat shows up in the ribbon (though the icons for each option on the acrobat tab of the ribbon is blank - no graphic icons, etc.), but when I try to create a pdf from within word or try to combine word files and other files into a single pdf, nothing happens and/or I get error messages. This is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. Please help!
After further testing, it appears that turning off the "Bins" software for Windows 8 fixes the problems in both Word and Acrobat, but I will report back if anything changes as I need to make sure this issue doesn't exist on my Windows 7 laptop.
